GVI was once again named one of the best international volunteering providers globally by Go Abroad. The Go Abroad winners are determined by the collective reviews from real-world program alumni. Reviews are used as a way to verify organisations, get valuable feedback about program experiences, and also recognise exceptional programs.

In 2023, GVI received one of the Go Overseas Community Choice Awards as one of the best travel organisations and providers in the world, in the fun category. With over 13,000 providers on Go Overseas, GVI came out tops for having the most fun, social scenes as part of a volunteer program abroad.

In 2022 GVI received an award in the category of GoAbroad’s Top Rated Volunteer Abroad Organizations. This is awarded annually when GoAbroad announces their Top Rated Organizations & Programs.
